This year we celebrate the Year of the Ox with Tanglin Gin's variety pack. The special edition design heroes the Ox in all its beautiful strength and power. The Ox is the centrepiece of the design with classic Chinese New Year elements coming together to create a crest inspired design. We took a modern CNY colour approach that fits with the Tanglin Gin brand colour expression. While the back of the pack showcases the custom illustrations in full view, the front of the pack features iconic CNY elements created in the same illustration style and is positioned to complement the die-cut window that displays the 200ml bottles.

According to the Chinese Lunar Calendar, 2021 is The Year of the Ox. The Ox is the second animal in the Chinese Zodiac. There’s a myth where the Jade Emperor said the order of the zodiac would be determined by the order in which all the invited animals arrived to his party. The Ox was ready to be the first, but the Rat (hello 2020) tricked the Ox into giving him a ride. Just as they were about to arrive, the Rat jumped off the Ox and landed ahead of him.
